The ‘Safegaze’ features of Kahf Browser are thoughtfully designed to make your internet experience—and your family’s—more beautiful, secure, and completely worry-free.
To help you easily understand how each feature works and when to enable them, here is a simple, step-by-step guide:
1. Safer Internet
This feature acts as your primary digital shield. It keeps you away from harmful websites, annoying ads, and hidden trackers.
How it works & When to use it:
- High (Maximum Protection): This strictly blocks harmful sites and adult content, and ensures that platforms like YouTube only show kids-friendly content. When to use: This is the safest and most highly recommended option if children are using the device.
- Medium (Default): This protects you from harmful sites and ads but doesn’t overly restrict your general browsing. When to use: This is the perfect, balanced option for your everyday, personal browsing.
- Low (Basic Protection): This only blocks the most dangerous websites and standard ads. When to use: Choose this if you want a very open browsing experience but still want to keep basic security active against malicious links.
2. Decent Internet
Coming across unexpected or inappropriate images while browsing can be quite uncomfortable. This feature is designed to save you from those moments.
How it works: You will see a few “avatar” options here. Depending on the level you select, the browser will automatically hide or blur inappropriate images of people on web pages. When to use: If you want to guard your gaze and ensure a modest, clean visual experience while browsing the web, keep this turned on. You can also temporarily disable it for a specific website using the “Pause on this site” button if needed.
3. Video Blur (Beta)
This is a very smart, state-of-the-art AI feature exclusive to Kahf Browser.
How it works: While you are watching a video (like on YouTube), if an immodest or inappropriate scene suddenly appears, the browser’s AI will instantly try to cover or blur that specific part of the screen. (Note: Since it is in Beta, it is still learning and might not be 100% perfect yet). When to use: Keep this turned ‘On’ for complete peace of mind while streaming videos, knowing the AI is actively working to filter out sudden inappropriate scenes.
4. Stop Video Autoplay
It can be frustrating—and a drain on your mobile data—when you visit a website and a video suddenly starts playing out loud.
How it works: When enabled, videos will not play without your permission. A video will only start when you actively tap the play button. When to use: It is highly recommended to keep this turned ‘On’ to save your internet data, avoid sudden startling noises, and keep full control over your media.
5. Harm Avoided (Your Safety Dashboard)
This isn’t a setting you need to change; rather, it’s a helpful little report card just for you.
How it works: This section shows you exactly how hard Kahf Browser has been working quietly in the background. It counts how many Harmful Sites, Indecent Pictures, and Ads/Trackers it has blocked for you. When to check it: Whenever you’d like to see the real-time impact of your safety settings!
6. Prevent Turning Off Safety Features (App Lock)
To make sure all the wonderful safety settings you just configured aren’t easily bypassed or turned off by mistake, you can lock them down.
How it works: If you turn this on, you will be asked to set a secret PIN code. From then on, anyone trying to change or turn off the Safegaze settings will have to enter that PIN. When to use: This is absolutely essential if you are a parent setting up the browser for your child. It is also a fantastic tool for personal accountability, ensuring you don’t accidentally turn off your own safety filters.
