Kahf Browser: Search Settings Guide
Kahf Browser’s Search Settings are designed to save you time and make finding what you need effortless, without ever compromising your personal data.
Here is a simple breakdown of what each feature does and when you might want to use it:
1. Autocomplete Suggestions
Typing out long searches on a phone keyboard can sometimes be tedious. This feature is here to help speed things up!
- How it works: As soon as you start typing a word in the search bar, the browser will kindly offer suggestions to complete your sentence. It will also suggest relevant sites you have saved in your bookmarks.
- Privacy First: You might wonder if the browser is tracking you to make these suggestions. Don’t worry! As the app notes, “All searches are private.”
- When to turn it on: If you want a faster, smoother typing experience and love helpful shortcuts, keep this toggled ‘On’.
2. Recently Visited Sites
We all have those few websites we visit over and over again. This feature makes getting back to them a breeze.
- How it works: When you tap the search bar to start a new search, the browser will gently remind you of the sites you’ve visited recently, offering them as quick links right below the search bar.
- Privacy First: Your history belongs to you. These recent sites are stored only on your device, not on any external servers. Plus, if you ever want a clean slate, you can instantly erase this history using the browser’s handy ‘Fire Button’.
- When to turn it on: If you frequently jump back into articles you were just reading or regularly check the same daily websites, turning this ‘On’ will be a great time-saver.
